Eco Queenslander, sustainable home project on the Fraser Coast
As of 1 January 2020, the Eco Queenslander will not be rented as a holiday house anymore. We would like to thank all the beautiful people who have participated and supported this project: guests, friends, visitors, we could not have done it without you...

Are you looking for a place to stay with your family when holidaying on the Fraser Coast? Are you travelling for work and searching for an alternative to motels in Maryborough? Eco Queenslander is your home away from home. Eco Quenslander is a craftsman built home which retains many of its original features: fretwork, polished timber floors, French doors, high moulded ceilings, casement windows with elaborate glass, claw-foot bath, etc. The house was built in the 1940s and fully restored and refurbished. Eco features were added to make Eco Queenslander a sustainable home.
In Maryborough you'll discover the charm and heritage of Queensland's unique architecture, a town rich in history, arts and culture with museums, art galleries, festivals, riverside parklands, cafes with live music and friendly locals. Maryborough was settled in 1847 and it remains largely untouched from its days as a thriving river port. Maryborough is an ideal base for touring and experiencing the Fraser Coast region and the Southern Great Barrier Reef. More about Maryborough.
Eco Queenslander is 30 minutes from Hervey Bay, so only 10 more minutes in comparison to most accommodation in Hervey Bay for visitors heading to Fraser Island and Lady Elliot Island. View map here.
